Coaching Requirements for Recreational Coaches

1. Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check
   - Here is the Vulnerable Sector Request forms to submit to the OPP.
   
   Checks done within 2 years will be permitted - please send a copy to [email protected] 
    
2. Complete the Respect in Soccer for Activity Leaders. 
   When registering select Ontario > South West Regional Soccer Association > Elma E. 
   Cost $30 - will be reimbursed.
   
   
3. The Grassroots Certification 
   - Complete the Coaching Soccer in Canada module for the age group you are coaching:
   U13 and up – Soccer for Life
   U9 to U12 – Learn to Train
   U6 to U8 – Fundamentals
   Kiddie Kickers - Active Start
   Cost $20.00 - $30.00 - will be reimbursed. (only purchase one of the above courses, Module 1 is
   included.)

Each course has 2 modules & a Practical:
Module 1 – REQUIRED – Coaching Soccer in Canada (THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO
COMPLETE AS A REQUIREMENT)

Module 2 – SUGGESTED – age appropriate grassroots course
On-Field Practical Course - SUGGESTED

Once completed the Coaching Soccer in Canada - Send a screenshot showing 100%
completed the first module to [email protected] . 

Requirements need to be completed before first game.
